Create clarity, reduce politics
Most decision-making processes are informal and inconsistent.
Some decisions happen in hallway conversations.
Others in lengthy meetings.
Still others through email chains or chat threads.
This variability creates confusion, breeds mistrust, and often leads to decisions being revisited or undermined because stakeholders don’t trust how they were made.
Thousands of decisions are made every day, ranging from minor operational choices to major strategic moves. Without a reliable, transparent process, the quality and legitimacy of these decisions suffer, regardless of whether the goal is consent or consensus.
There are deeper issues too. Without clear structure, many voices go unheard. Louder or more senior voices tend to dominate, and valuable perspectives get missed. Decisions lack the benefit of diverse thinking, and implementation suffers because people don’t feel their input was properly considered.
