It’s hard to dance if you’ve got no rhythm

Lurching between frantic activity and exhausted recovery.

Letting work accumulate until it reaches a crisis point, followed by a heroic sprint that leaves teams depleted.

Entering every week with an understanding that the working rhythm will be, on one hand, completely new...and on the other a boring rerun. 8 am–7 pm: 30 minutes back-to-back-to-back and work compressed into the after-dinner hours.

This pattern might feel natural or inevitable. We know it creates unnecessary stress and reduces both quality and sustainability. Eliminating intensity doesn’t make sense, though, especially if you’re aligned with your work’s purpose, and have big dreams for what might be possible in the future world you’re building. Instead of slowing down, we should create intentional rhythms that balance focus and renewal.
